When: Thursday 11 October (after the Posters and Demos session)

Where: Asilomar Seascape (next to the Crocker dining hall, where lunch is served)

Many have asked… and yes, the Jam Session is back at ISWC 2018!

The Semantic Web community is crowded with music lovers and several of our fine researchers are also excellent music players! The Semantic Jam Session started in  Sydney at ISWC2013 and was a great success. At ISWC2017 in Vienna, we finally got round to repeating it and nobody could resist dancing to the tunes of “Aldo and the triples” (named in honor of the first Jam Session chair Aldo Gangemi).

This is a call for musicians in the Semantic Web community that want to share their musical skills and contribute to the gig after the ISWC2018 poster and demo session on Thursday 11 October.

We will try and cater for all music tastes: blues, funk, soul jazz, latin… feel free to put in your favourites!

If you want to get involved (sharing tunes, ideas, music sheets) request access to the shared drive and join the facebook group, where we can all contribute with links, videos, suggestions etc.

There will be some time to rehearse a bit before the jam on Monday 8th October during the evening in Asilomar (details will be announced). The jam session will conclude the poster and demo session.

The event is sponsored by data.world, the productive, secure platform for modern data teamwork.
